solitude

i just love nice lunches/brunches and cosy dinners...the environment plays a part definitely...love those places where you can slowly savour your food and talk endlessly without being interrupted by pesky waiters..*hint hint*

its really relaxing to take time off for yourself. just go to a cafe and order a drink and spend some time with yourself. take a book with you or just stare off into space, doing what people do most...people-watching.

set lunches are great...im in love with them...especially when they come with coffee..haha *hint hint* AGAIN lol

go pamper yourself. give yourself a lovely treat. you'll notice the difference but just don't do it too often or it'll lose some of that magical touch =)

as for me, i pamper myself with food...my cravings...

and i relax with gym...my guilty indulgence that steals my time.

unfortunately gym would have to be put to an end very soon =( i shall miss those kicks, punches and jump-kicks...

The story of the stove

Reigniting that very stove for a the lovely bright flame that was once there can only result in 2 outcomes

1. the flame eventually dies off due to a confusion that there was gas in the gas tank but in reality there wasn't any

2. the flame REMAINS, burning brighter than ever before as it realises that the gas used is the best one it could ever get.

Either way, the stove has already been given to a new owner and thus, the only thing the previous owner can get is to beg, borrow or steal. It is idealistic, but it's never gonna happen. So the previous owner should get a new stove that suits the owner better.

Having said all that, the stove will always remember its first owner. Like what most people say that they'll never forget their first love, the same goes for this little stove, who will always keep a special place for the first owner....for the first owner what the one who first lighted up the stove, bringing it to life

The things I do...

It so happened that my bro was hungry that day and I had a packet of sausages left in the freezer...mind you...a packet=10 sausages.

He wanted it to baked in the oven..talk about ordering me to cook it the way he likes...when I just planned to dumped it all in a pot of boiling water to cook them.

But no..he said boiled sausages aren't nice. And so happened that day I was baking muffins AND cookies.....So the oven is OUT....MY BAKING COMES FIRST!!!!! hahahaha

Jam balls.....I had to painstakingly add the jam into the tiny balls and roll them up...all 150++ of the balls...lol

Milo muffins....everyone preferred this over my jam balls...lol and this one took soooo much less work...hahahahahah..I should stick to choc-based things in the future =)

He doesn't want boiled sausages..and I wasn't willing to let him take up my precious baking time..mind you..I had ALOT to bake that day..so I compromised...I pan fried the sausages. And that was in the midst of juggling the baking, cooling it, storing it and shaping the cookie dough and ensuring that the sausages did not burn...

Well..what to do??

I even had them all arranged in a nice little pyramid. along with the chilli sauce on the side. See how thoughtful I was??

And that brother of mine walloped it all in a blink of an eye. Sigh.....

At least he became my guinea pig in return and tried my baking..hehehehehe

The adventures of Pikky

I'm back to blogging despite the long hiatus.....well, I've got reasons of my own...and nope..I wasn't being lazy here. I just had a thousand and one things going on...and the list is just never ending. In fact, it's gonna be adding up as the days go by and my time in KL here gets shorter and shorter.

The hols have pretty much flew by. From the gatherings, birthdays, Singapore trip...I just wished I have longer holidays. These 2.5 months aint enough. I need the break!!!

Oh well...the pics are here...=)

First meet up wit college gals...kah yan and rachel..

Then it was with leonard...the one and only meet up before he leaves for US....we went for dim sum brunch before heading off to...

KLCC...

Then deciding that KLCC has nothing much, we headed to The Curve...talk about driving from one end to the other! =)

Next was when some of the Aussie people came back...so we met up in Pavilion...more pics in Facebook..I just took the ones from my phone =)

Kit Yan came back from the kiasu-land...so we met up in Curve...here's one pic in Marche...Thanks Kit for the lunch!!! Yi Li came along as well..FINALLY!!!! haha

What's there not to look forward when the Darlings are back??? Kit Yan...our ever so faithful driver and full of ideas...decided on a trip to i-City and SnoWorld.....It was a night of lights...and getting numb from the cold...haha

But first off, we took a short detour to Klang for Bak Kut Teh...yum!!! It's been quite awhile since I actually had Klang BKT...

My plate...of bones...haha

I-City....

In the SnoWorld...this is just the outside after we enter the place....the actual snow place is inside...pics aren't allowed but of course..we had our ways..hehe...so no pics here of the snow house...it's a wonderful experience I would say =)

It's all the way down there

I can now proudly say that I am no longer a 2nd year medical student. Come Feb 7, 2011, I'll be starting off my very first day as a 3rd year medical student. Half way through...yet the journey is just the begining. The hard work, the sleepless nights, the lack of entertainment...all those will start again in just a month's plus time.

Sad to say, I'll be leaving my dear hometown KL to continue my studies in JB. I haven't really felt the excitement yet of staying on my own. WITHOUT parents, without someone constantly watching over what you do, without someone to do the housework and ensuring the fridge is well-stocked at all times with my favourite food.

I shall definitely miss it. Seriously. JB...haha not to say I'm somewhere across the sea but still..it's a home away from home. Seri Samudera will be my new home for the next couple of years. And I'll have that king-sized bed to sleep on for my years in JB =)

And I won't be driving that often. Nope. I wont be bringing a car down so it'll be walking, running, flying, hitching a ride...as long as I get from point A to point B. That matters the most right?

Oh well..I still have a few more weeks to enjoy the KL breeze..the busy city life before I head towards the south, towards my new home. I shall have to pack all my things and transfer them down....as well as those medical books...oh the headache!!!!

Till then, it's off to Singapore for my Christmas holidays. And to celebrate the fact that I passed year 2 =)

Crazy as it seems to be....

deja vu....

That feeling totally caught me off guard on Sunday. Lunch + shopping + tea break was with the gals but it was during lunch when IT happened.

I dreamt of the exact place, the exact words, the exact people, the exact position in the restaurant...and it wasn't as if it was a recent event...i think the dream happened like..a year ago?? or maybe more?? i don't know for sure. In fact, I totally forgot about the dream. Nobody remembers their dreams right? And as surreal as it may seem to be, it just disappears like a poof of air when one opens their eyes.

Yet, somehow this bit of dream got lost and was retained in my memory....and when Yi Li said those words, everything came tumbling out. I felt that sense of deja vu....it surprised me that I was speechless for a moment. And the more I thought about it, the more I felt that..."yea, I remember I dreamt bout this some time ago"

It's hard to describe...more so of being bizzare...and unbelievable...but that's just the way it is.

Only the person would understand it.

And this time round, that person is ME =)

Belle de Nuit

Fragonard..

Honestly, I've never heard of this brand before...but well, it's a French brand. And I've never stepped foot in France, let alone speak French.

But.....

This will be my favourite perfume.

Of course...my green apple perfume still has a place in my heart..the same goes for my green tea perfume as well...

But this Belle de Nuit is my new favourite..hehe...

Late indeed....BUT

It's almost 3 months yet it was worth the wait. The lie didn't really worked. Seriously...

"I bought the tickets from the ATM machine"...and all I saw that came out from the machine was just money.

"I'm taking you to the LRT station now...so it's getting warmer here" yet the surroundings was QUIET...since when train stations are so silent that even one could hear a pin drop? Plus I didn't hear any train coming or doors opening. I wasn't even in a moving platform to say the very least.

"Oh, we've reached the destination" and I heard the caroling sessions...AGAIN..the same one before I supposedly left the place into the train's station.

Yet I do appreciate the effort given to make things different. =)

The singing was nice. A different thing indeed from the usual things. And the lamb and chicken was delicious..though the chicken gravy could very well caused hypertension there and then..=P

I love Boost. But I guess Juice Works still wins. The price, the range offered and of course...the buy 1 free 1 promo voucher in my phone. Haha...but Boost's Christmas drink is not bad..strong guava taste with the tiny raspberry seeds. I prefer this over Juice Works Christmas drink. Maybe because there's mango inside Juice Work's drink. Haha...I personally don't like mango in my drinks =)

The souvenier were cute, lovely and thoughtful...I love it...I'll definitely use them... thank you!

Finally got to sleep well after the lack of sleep for the past few nights..doing the video..cant believe video making is fun..but tedious..especially for an amateur like me..and it makes it worse if you're one who's is super particular over the tiny details....unfortunately I was one of them...God knows how many times I watch those videos...luckily it wasn't few hours long..haha

As an icing to the cake, I woke up this morning just to find that my vocal cords aren't vibrating. My Voice decided to leave me for the day..hopefully it'll come back soon enough. I need them for COMMUNICATION....all I could manage now is speaking through air that's breathed out. Not even a whisper, or a raspy voice is left for me.

I can' talk to save my life...for now..hahaha

oh the holidays!!

the new set lunch in Paddington's aint that nice as the previous one. my chicken piccata set was basically drenched in GARLIC oil...eeewww....and there's no more coffee offered...the dessert that i was looking forward to was not on the set lunch menu anymore...it's slightly cheaper but i rather have the old one back =(

watched harry potter...and sat in the 2nd row from the front for the whole 2 plus hours...lol..it's amazing that i didn't get any neck pack after that...but i like this one better than the previous harry potter movies...

i wanna go shopping...some more!! and nowadays when i shop im always thinking....okay..this would be suitable for JB...this isn't..and so on...so less t shirts, more formal/semi-formal, no-need-to-iron-type of clothes is always the reference point now...and i need more shorts...JB isn't gonna have winter anytime soon...

Christmas is coming. it's my favourite season of the year...the decorations are up, the jolly christmas songs are blasting from every corner of the malls...now all that's missing is my Christmas presents!! give me some! =P

Well, it isn't exactly a holiday...sigh

There's ALOT of things i wanna do this hols...n it seems to me that there is just no time...at least i baked almond biscotti today =) And due to special request, itls sugar-free. The fact dat it doesn't contain any butter/oil/margarine makes an even healthier, addictive snack. Too bad it's slighlty burned...lol =)

I wanna just go shopping all day long...with a nice lunch in cosy cafe...that wud be bliss...but shopping n eating alone isnt half s fun...friends aren't always free for u..n well my sis is always out with her friends. =) I really should treasure my hols. They're hard to come by...yet as a medical student, hols doesnt mean u can let go of what u learnt da previous sem... that'll equal to suicide cuz then even 24 hours in a day ain't enough to re-capture all those lost knowledge...

I should start my annual spring cleaning now. My drawer's in such a mess. I'm pretty sure there are loads of rubbish hidden from one's discerning eye. But i'm not complaining. I absolutely adore spring cleaning. Weird but that's just me. =p
